Just scanned through Vera Wang's Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear Collection on her website. Too much expected black but I know that is part of Wang's classic style.
One of the first to catch my attention was the Mongolian fur hem skirt. It definitely would not be appealing to Arizonans, that's for sure. The skirt looks like a hula skirt was viciously attacked by a gray cat...... and the cat won.
The next piece would have looked stunning without the black arm warmers and matching stockings. My thinion is that it said alot on its own- 1920's flapper dress with pizazz.
I absolutely love this navy blue frock. I can see it already on the red carpet. A young star like Dakota Fanning could totally shine in this piece. The downside is the pants. They completely diminish the quality of this beautiful dress.
Another dress I think is ingenious is this charcoal organza dress. Even though its a plain color palette, the material and accessories used create a magnificent little number.
I do not even know where to begin with this dress. There's way too much going on. I know fashion is about thinking outside the box but seriously. Was Vera strapped for time and just threw everything into one piece? This dress confuzzles me to no end.
This gown was tastefully crafted together in a breathtaking way. It skimmed over the model's curves gracefully. I would not be surprised to see this gown pop up at an awards event.
All I can say about this look is...... Vera can I please have this outfit? :)
That's it for now.
Too-da-loo fashobs ;)
