Fall 2010 Designer Collections

I've recently looked at the upcoming fall 2010 collections from designers.
3.1 Phllip Lim's collection is unique, reminds me of old country meets modern city chic. I like the idea of the criss-crossed dress. It's different and definitely makes you stand out in a crowd. I also really like the long grey cardigan. Seems perfect for a rainy day.
One of the designers I most admire for their bold choices is.... Betsy Johnson. She gave a playful spin to her collection. Nothing new to the daring fashion designer. I love the red and black striped sweater tunic from her latest collection. It's very cute and looks totally comfy!
Daniel Vosovic. Love & own his book Fashion Inside Out. Not to keen about his Fall 2010 collection. To me, it's comes across as a little plain. I've seen these V-neck tops before and Jackie Kennedy-inspired blazers. Some of the pants are pretty unique though. They look very artsy and would go perfect with high heels or sneakers. They definitely speak all for themselves.
Among the designer collections, I discovered a designer I had never heard about. Tells you how new I am to understanding the industry. :) Vena Cava. I get the edgy/chic vibe from the collection. I'm not really into the fur adorned pieces and sheer black top but I do like the the grey suspender flowing dress. It's gorgeous and would be great for prom, without the designer price tag.
There some dresses in Chris Benz's collection that were beautiful. They are tye-dyed in an array of vibrant colors. The other pieces I'm not to sure about, such as the fur hats. I find them atrocious but that's just my thinion. ;) Hey fashion is fashion and it is all art in some way or another.

Well that's all the critique I've got for now. Stay tuned for my next post tomorrow!!
