Stockholm Street Style

Found some young fashionistas in Stockholm while browsing Teen Vogue's website. Seems that blazers and skirts are really popular there.

Not so keen on this Whyred blouse mixing with the H&M gray jumper. I love wearing jumpers but not like this. Siri, Little House on the Prairie called and they want their costume back. I will give her the yellow Converse shoes are pretty cool though.
I definitely want to try out this next girl, Anna's look. Except for the purse. It's casual yet still very chic and tough looking. Love it!
I like this edgy but urban look all except Ellinore's black Acne tunic. It just looks like she's wearing a big trash bag. It doesn't accentuate her frame at all.

What a daring look. You really have to be brave to pull off such a bright colored outfit. Very preppy with a hint of casual attitude. I would have definitely ditched the blue tights and hideous bag. Otherwise kudos to Saga!I believe this plaid vintage jacket would have worked better with a solid color tunic with leggings or just a solid color dress. The little maroon bow tie is making me cringe. Hopefully it's a school uniform! Michelle you should try looking for some dresses. Just a tip. ;)

Senare! (how they say 'later' in Sweden)

Lady Gaga Watch

After noticing her huge fashion risks, I've decided I'm gonna start up weekly photos of Lady Gaga's outlandish wardrobe. It's too hard not to make a comment about what she dares to wear.

This week I found pictures of her at a London airport, in super tall black boots, a black cape, and leather chaps. That woman is completely insane. Where is she going to? The rodeo to round up some bulls? Or is the cape to channel her inner Darth Vader? I get it, she wants attention and she's worn questionable outfits in the past but this look has gone too far. I was not surprised she fell when she fell while leaving Heathrow Airport.

I feel bad for her but then I don't because she was the smart one to wear high heeled boots to board a plane. Lady Gaga take some advice, save those boots for your music videos, photo shoots, and oh yeah the professional models on the runway. The airport is not the place to take major fashion risks. I don't even want to begin to think the hassle she had going through security.

Well fashobs what do you think?

I wanna hear your responses.

Ta-ta for now fashobs.

Vera Wang's Fall 2010 Collection

Just scanned through Vera Wang's Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear Collection on her website. Too much expected black but I know that is part of Wang's classic style.

One of the first to catch my attention was the Mongolian fur hem skirt. It definitely would not be appealing to Arizonans, that's for sure. The skirt looks like a hula skirt was viciously attacked by a gray cat...... and the cat won.
The next piece would have looked stunning without the black arm warmers and matching stockings. My thinion is that it said alot on its own- 1920's flapper dress with pizazz.
I absolutely love this navy blue frock. I can see it already on the red carpet. A young star like Dakota Fanning could totally shine in this piece. The downside is the pants. They completely diminish the quality of this beautiful dress.

Another dress I think is ingenious is this charcoal organza dress. Even though its a plain color palette, the material and accessories used create a magnificent little number.
I do not even know where to begin with this dress. There's way too much going on. I know fashion is about thinking outside the box but seriously. Was Vera strapped for time and just threw everything into one piece? This dress confuzzles me to no end.
This gown was tastefully crafted together in a breathtaking way. It skimmed over the model's curves gracefully. I would not be surprised to see this gown pop up at an awards event.
All I can say about this look is...... Vera can I please have this outfit? :)

That's it for now.

Too-da-loo fashobs ;)

2010 MTV Movie Awards

Did anyone watch the 2010 MTV Movie Awards on June 6th? I did and wow were there some fascinating outfits. I've picked my top five best dressed and top five worst dressed of the event.

Top 5 Best Dressed

5. Scarlett Johansson-
Her green lace mini dress looked beautiful on her. I feel like she played it safe by wearing it though. The thin belt cinching her waist could have had a rose or some type of flower to give the dress a more girly look.
4. Sandra Bullock-
I think she looked absolutely stunning in the shiny black mini dress she sported at the event. It was a fresh take on the typical LBD. To me she nailed the "shiny" theme of the evening with the dress not being overdone with glitter, crystals, sequins, etc. The black layer helped to tone down the glitz of it.
3.Whitney Port-
I thought she looked very modern in her yellow and gray strapless dress. There was no worry about running into another celeb with the same dress. Also artistic in a sense- like it should be a painting.
2. Kristen Stewart-
Completely shocked to see her not in Converse shoes and jeans. She looked gorgeous in the mini. It was definitely a one-of-a-kind-piece that caught my attention. Love the two different prints being pulled together at the waist.
1.Stephanie Pratt-
Her vibrant mini dress really captured a variety of patterns and meshed into a funky graphic design. Loved it!!!

Top 5 Worst Dressed

5.Katy Perry
- I hate to put Katy on this list but her sparkly Zuhair Murad mini dress was distasteful. Kids were watching this show!! Even though it covered the right places, it was still way too shiny and revealing at the same time. I feel like she went to a crafts store and just went nuts with all the glitter and crystals she could find.I do have to say her "California Gurls" is one of my favorite songs of the moment though.
4.Lindsay Lohan-
I don't feel bad at all with adding Lindsay to the disappointing list. Her shimmery crystallized jumpsuit was way too much. I wouldn't be surprised if it broke the lens of some of the paparazzi.
3. Jessica Biel- Sweet as she is and looked in her light polka dot blouse and black sequined skirt, the outfit just did suit her. It gives off a 1950's Lucille Ball vs. 1920's flapper style that seems so outdated for Jessica. She could have done a whole lot better.
2.Jonah Hill- No originality at all.Black blazer, black tie, grey button-down, black pants, and grey sneakers. BORING. I mean I know guys don't have as much choices as girls fashion-wise but he could have tried harder. There was more colorful hues he could have used to spice up his look.
1.Christina Aguilera- What was she thinking? A shiny black Versace gown with chain shoulder straps and black tiered bottom. For the bottom of the dress, it looks like a Party City store was raided and I don't wanna know where the chains came from.

What do you think? Did I forget some stars to add to the above lists?

Talk soon fashobs. (My own combination of fashion and obsessed :)

OMG Yahoo's "2 Hot 2 Handle" pictures

First I want to apologize about delaying my second post. It was a super busy year in school. Time was eaten away like chocolate is by people every day. But thanks to summer break.... I'm back!!! :)

I just recently took a look at OMG Yahoo's "2 Hot 2 Handle" pictures on their official website. Some of the clothing deserved the spotlight and others were questionable as to why they made it into the weekly spicy section.

The first picture they have of is showing Miley Cyrus at her album release party in Madrid. Even though she's wearing Christian Louboutin boots, the addition of the black Saloni leggings gives me the impression that she's going to the rodeo. I do love the tye-dye top though.

The next picture of Emma Watson at the National Movie Awards is lovely. The Karl Lagerfield frock is very unique and definitely captures my attention. I would add a vibrantly colored belt to go with it though. It seems to be missing something in the middle.

I can't stand what Gwyneth Paltrow is wearing at the National Movie Awards. The pink Prada dress is not flattering at all. The top of her dress seems to big and pouches out at her waist. The whole look reminds of Barbie. No originality. What was her stylist thinking? What was OMG Yahoo thinking of putting her on the "Hot" list?

Sarah Jessica Parker's dress at the Tokyo premiere of the Sex In The City sequel is even worse. The Vivienne Westwood gown has way too much volume at the bottom. Maybe my strong dislike for florals is lowering my opinion of this gown but it looks like it was ripped off a grandma's old couch.

I'm not sure exactly what to say about what Alicia Keys wore at a charity event in London. The lavender-hued Dolce & Gabbana cocktail frock is extremely daring on Alicia but it is a little over-the-top. I have to give her props for wearing it while being pregnant.

OMG Yahoo called Ciara's black Givenchy gown at an art exhibition in the Big Apple, "smoking hot". More like smoking not. I think the gown would look stunning if the long Star Trek themed sleeves were completely eradicated. Maybe Givenchy has something though, a peek into our futuristic style of fashion.

Ending on a sweet note, I was surprised to be mesmerized by the Alice + Olivia gown that AnnaLynne McCord wore at the 2010 Gracie Awards. I'm not usually into the gowns with tons of layers but the gown designed by Stacey Bendet is tastefully done. It's absolutely gorgeous! Kudos to Stacey Bendet!!!

You can find the pictures I critiqued at www.omgyahoo.com and under this weeks '2 Hot 2 Handle'.

Later fashion fans.
