Do you really know this Brit designer???

Stella McCartney. Her name is ubiquitous in the fashion world. But do you know who the Brit really is??? Inside and out?
Feel free to be amazed by what the daughter of famed Beatles' singer Paul McCartney has achieved over the years.

*Green Design of the Year at the ACE Awards in (2008)*
*Best Designer of The Year at the British Style Awards in her hometown of London in 2007*
*Organic Style Woman of the Year Award in New York in 2005*
*Star Honoree at the Fashion Group International Night of the Stars (2004)*
*In L.A. she was named Woman of Courage Award for aid in fighting cancer at the Unforgettable Evening event in 2003*
*VH1/Vogue Fashion and Music 2000 Designer of the Year Award in NY*

Has your jaw dropped to the ground and/or you eyes grow larger yet?? Thought so=) Pretty impressive right?

Stella has carved her own individual fame in the fashion industry out of her father's success in music. She has definitely earned the awards and accolades that she has received. After rendering two collections in London after college, McCartney scored the job as Creative Director of Chloe in Paris in 1997. What better exposure to fashion could you find than that? There was no doubt that Stella was only heading up in fame after holding the Creative Director title at a huge fashion brand company.

Stella McCartney currently owns 13 stores in Paris, Milan, Beirut, L.A., N.Y.C., and London. She even has her own perfume that came out in 2003. A lifelong vegetarian and major advocate of animal rights, McCartney does not incorporate fur or leather into any of her lines. Yayyyyy:)

In September 2004, Stella collaborated with Adidas to concoct her own workout gear for the sporty company. This year, she was even given the honor of being the Creative Director for the 2012 Olympics teams by Adidas. How awesome is that! She went on to team up with H&M in November 2005 and created a hugely popular line that broke records when it sold out worldwide. Stella now has a kids line at the Gap that covers the age group of newborns to 12 years old.

Well done Stella McCartney!!! Good for you for going after what you loved in life and accomplishing so much.

Celebs' Take on Fall Trends

I know it's a little late but here is me dressed up as Khloe Kardashian for Halloween=)

Taken by my own camera:)

Fall trends definitely caught the attention of the celebs this season. No backing down from lace, boxy jackets, & vibrant colors for these celebs.

Emma Watson & Clemence Posey

I immediately favor Emma's choice of choosing the lack frock that she did. It has more attitude than Clemence's & looks more fresh. Clemency is aged just by the navy blue lace dress she's wearing, when she should look younger!

Bella Heathcote
The recent recipient of the Heath Ledger Acting Scholarship, up-and-coming actress Bella looked beautiful and innocent in a pure white lace dress at Teen Vogue's Young Hollywood Party.

Big Time Rush:(from left to right) Kendall,Logan, Carlos, & James
Big Time Rush cuties also attended the TVYH party, bringing no shortage of smiles=) Kendall was the only guy to follow one of the fall fashion trend's: the boxy jacket. He looked very casual but comfy in the navy & black colored jacket.

Shinae Grimes
Shinae Grimes also stopped by the party, sporting a tacky ensemble including the fall trend of lace. Advice to Shinae, no one wants to see your stomach unless you're at the beach. Cover yourself up next time!;)

Lily Collins
"Blind Side" actress Lily Collins stood out at the Teen Vogue fete with bright pink frilly dress. The nude heels she wore along with the bubble gum colored frock, complemented it perfectly.

Toodalu fashobs!!!(:

Hey Fashobs=)

How are you doing this moment? Still wondering what you want to dress up as for Halloween? I finally figured out what I'm gonna be & bought the costume tonight...Khloe Kardashian!! I love Keeping Up With The Kardashians so I thought it would be a great idea to be Khloe for Halloween. What are you gonna be? There's endless possibilities!

Are you also making plans for....dare I say it so early.......Thanksgiving or Christmas?? I know I get irritated seeing decorations out so early in stores, so mentioning is just as bad.  Well I found some jewelry you can wear to holiday parties or just on even a date night. They're pricey if you can afford it but if you can't I found similar jewelry at Forever 21 & Hot Topic .

Check it out!! Let me know your thoughts or share what you decided you'll be for Halloween.

They Wore What?!?

It happens. Sometimes you just are rush around in the morning, not caring what you wear for the day. Unfortunately, celebs take the heat for the mistake when the paparazzi catch them on those-kind-of-days. Some celebs just don't learn.

Rihanna has been known to sport unusual ensembles, but this outfit just screams attention in the worst way possible. Too bright and baring her midriff... really Rihanna? That trend stopped in the 90's. Wake up its 2010!!

Newbie on the block, Nicki Minaj wore a multi-colored jumpsuit to the taping of "Late Show with David Lettermen". I wouldn't have such an issue with it if it didn't pouf out on her hips. Its totally unflattering on her. Based on her countenance, it doesn't seem she was thrilled to wear it either. The busy print could also have looked better as a dress or top. Note to Nicki: Fire your stylist!

Mary-Kate, Mary-Kate. Will you ever learn from your past fashion mistakes?!? This pictures answers that for sure! I hope whatever she bought from Scarlett, can replace the hideous mop of an outfit she's wearing. For wishing to remain incognito from the public, she sure does the opposite with what she chooses to wear.

Apparently Mary-Kate has influenced her older twin's wardrobe as well. Ironically, Ashley wore this black fur coat the same exact day that Mary-Kate was spotted in her ugly outfit. She looks like a black ostrich running around town in this getup. This dark hued outfit isn't even appropriate for a funeral, let alone just leaving your house. Ashley do not listen to your sister!! No matter what!!!

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in the Big Apple

My deep apologies to any readers that I have. Moving and recently getting the dreaded cold were the culprits of me being away from my blog account so long. I'm deeply sad that I have missed so much fashion =(

Well, back to critiquing ;)

Wanted to peruse over some brand new designers that I have never heard of, so here are their Spring 2011 collections:

Monique Pean

It looks like natural colors are in for the spring of next year. I love both of these looks by Monique Pean. Complemented by other earth colored jewelry, these frocks look like the embodiment of classy. I can already see party girls grabbing these dresses for nightclubs, dinner parties, and weddings. It could be their new staple piece in their wardrobe.

Perry Ellis

Menswear designer took us through a time machine to reveal these retro outfits. The melon and grey shades, plaid jackets and ties, stripes, blazers, polos, and silky materials all remind me of the 60's and 70's. The picture I have posted of the plaid tie & melon shirt with grey slacks is cringe-worthy to me. I was not a fan of what I saw men wearing during the 60's and 70's and am still not. The picture of the plaid jacket with melon colored shorts are much more tolerable. It gives off this laid-back vibe. I'm not
sure if men will really catch on to this
spring trend or not. Only time will tell.
Until then check out more pics of men
on the Perry Ellis runway. No shortage
of hotties there;)

Christian Siriano

Ok I know he's not new to the fashion world but I think he's too cute and talented to not include;)
Oh little Christian Siriano. He really did not hold anything back for his spring 2011 collection. Shimmery dresses, leather coats, over-the-top gowns, and wild safari prints. I can already envision celebs flocking to get a hold of the ruby colored organza and chiffon gown pictured above. Some celeb will receive the winning attention in the gown at a red carpet event.I love the blue and brown printed frock also pictured above. Celebs such as Nicole Richie, Leighton Meester, Alicia Keys, and Victoria Justice would most likely adore the frock for red carpet movie premieres and date nights.

Gotta go get some more rest before I go back to school tomorrow to see what I've missed:(

Ahhh Fashion Week is here!!!(:

I could not be more thrilled with Fashion Week starting up and Fashion Night Out just 2 days away!!!
Although I will not be able to attend either beloved fashion events, I will be here watching through my computer screen.
Even though Fashion Week officially starts tomorrow, a pre-event has already jump-started the fashion frenzy. Fashion's Night Out: The Show in NYC.

Blake Lively looked fantastic in a busy patterned Marchessa mini dress with dark Louboutin pumps. Not the style I would lean towards but definitely tenacious and unique.

Blake's "Gossip Girl" co-star Leighton Meester, also dropped by the event in a less tactful blue satin Versus Fall 2010 dress with Louboutin booties. The bustier dress just screams hooker to me. Maybe Leighton visited the "Gossip Girl" set before the event and pulled the dress out of Blair's closet. Whatever the reason, she needs to think about what she's wearing before she steps outside next time. I do have to give the designer props for constructing an out-of-the-box garment.

Starring in the new CW tv show "Hellcats", Ashley Tisdale chose to be cautious in a simple gray smock with black booties. Very cute and girly but was hoping she would have tried something a little more unique and eye-catching.

Miss All-That-and-a-subscription-to-ELLE Olivia Palermo showed up to the event in the most hideous floral frock. We get it you love being a girly girl but don't remove material from your grandmother's couch to be included in the making of your event dresses.

Oh Julianne Moore. You're such a wonderful actress but your style needs help. Sporting a ugly printed dress with socks AND booties. Major no no!! Socks are ONLY to be worn when you are wearing tennis shoes for fitness-related situations or at home. Yes we are aware you are no longer a fresh faced Hollywood starlet, so don't try to dress like one.

Later for now fashobs!!!

Stay tuned for Fashion Week news soon(:

Emmy's Hits & Misses

5 Award Winning Looks
Kelly Osbourne looked absolutely  gorgeous in her dark latticed Tony Ward gown. It gives off this royal vibe that is so not expected from Kelly.

Toni Collette stood out in an eye-catching field inspired dress. It may have not been appropriate for the Emmy's but it got people's attention. The simple top of the dress complements the bottom half of it. Definitely unique!

Heidi Klum rocked her Marchessa mini on the red carpet. She never seems to disappoint at award show events. I would hope not being the host of "Project and Runway". She knows that less is more when it comes to accessories!!

"Dexter" star Jennifer Carpenter looked breathtaking in a gray gunmetal one-shoulder gown. It spoke for itself and shined gracefully.

I disagree with Yahoo's 'D' grade stamped on Lauren Graham. There was no doubt she played it safe in a black and white Yigal Azrouel dress but it was simply elegant. Her slit could have been less dramatic but otherwise she looks great.

5 Disappointing Disaster looks

Had never even heard of Holly Burrell and am sure she won't stay in my mind in an optimistic way from now on. The wife of "Modern Family" star Ty Burell completely embarrassed herself in a pink and black catastrophe.

I'm not sure what Rita Wilson was thinking when she put on this Prada chain-linked frock. Its unflattering in every way possible, not to mention her Lucite heels. It's as if she planned to go belly-dancing after the Emmy's.

I really hate to even type the beloved Betty White's  name on this list..... but she completely missed the high bar when she stepped onto the Emmy's red carpet. Her turquoise/lavender hued chiffon outfit and gold shoes failed to impress.

January Jones shocked in a electric blue Atelier Versace hoop-skirt dress. The bustier cups placed on her bust area are from lovely and the scaling texture does not help. Better luck next time January!!

I really wanted to put Dianna Agron on the Award Winning list but the floral organza tiered Carolina Herrera dress went further than it needed to. Having it tiered eradicated the delicate and beautiful work done.It reminds me too much of Little Bo Peep.

Click on the following link to look at Dianna's dress:

Latest Fashion News

I was thrilled to hear recently that the Kardashian sisters will be launching a ready-to-wear clothing  line next year with Australian designer Bruno Schiavi. I love all their unique individual styles and know that there is bound to be high heels, funky prints, and shiny pieces involved with their clothing line. Being aware of their own different physical shapes, I look forward to seeing clothes for every size of woman.

In other news I am uber excited about the 2nd annual Fashion's Night Out in NYC on September 10th!!! If you haven't heard about it, certain retailers in all five boroughs of the big apple stay open until 11pm to attract  fashionistas. This will test how far their credit cards can reach. :) If you are like me and wont be able to attend the global fashion event, you can purchase a t-shirt, long sleeve shirt, or jacket online where proceeds will go to benefit the New York City AIDS Fund. If you are one of the lucky ones that get to attend the event, send me some pictures of you and friends at the event. I would love to put them up on my blog!! In the meantime, check out their website:

Sorry for the lack of pictures this time. Every picture I wanted to download, failed :(
